# Southwestern Oklahoma Historical Society

> The Southwestern Oklahoma Historical Society was formed on April 20, 1064, to preserve and promote the history of the pioneers and Native Americans of Southwest Oklahoma.  We have evolved over the years to include the many generations that have inhabited 13 counties in Southwest Oklahoma, presenting personal stories and academic historical articles and photographs offered by members of the Society and non-members alike.
